'Responsible' or 'Usual' GP - DoH policy, since 2004, has been that patients are registered with a medical practice and not individual GPs, in 2015 DoH policy was further changed slightly in that All patients would be informed of the name of their 'responsible GP', this is for administrative purposes.  With the recent loss of 3 GPs and the recruitment of 3 new GPs, and the time frame involved, we have had to re-align the number of patients to each of the 'responsible GPs'. This may mean that your 'responsible GP' has changed. Please  remember that you can see any of the GPs here for acute problems, although it is best to see your 'responsible GP' for chronic long term conditions, for continuity of care.
